Surveys

I love finding new ways that I can earn a few extra dollars from my home. I stay at home with my son and usually have a couple hours during nap time to get things done. One thing I have started doing the past couple months is taking surveys online. It has been a great way to earn a little extra spending money, and I have been able to score some free Christmas presents! Now don’t get me wrong, taking surveys won’t make you rich, but they are quick, easy and convenient to do. I usually make around $20 a week taking surveys. You can make more or less, depending on how many companies you sign up with and how dedicated you are to actually completing the surveys they send you!

The top three companies I go through are:
Pinecone research http://www.pineconeresearch.com/index.htm
Opinion Outpost http://OpinionOutpost.com/join/7643822
AOL Opinion Place www.opinionplace.com

1. Pinecone research http://www.pineconeresearch.com/index.htm is a great website that pays you $3.00 for each survey you complete. The surveys they send you are for ones that you are prequalified for so you don’t need to worry about not qualifying for them. They will send you a check in the mail within a couple days of completing the survey or they will deposit the money directly into your PayPal account. Something that I’ve really enjoyed when it comes to Pinecone Research is many times towards the end of the survey they will ask if you would be interested in trying a product out in your home for a couple weeks. So far I have been sent a full bottle of fabric softener, 2 rolls of paper towels, and a bag of cat food. I simply use the products in place of my regular brand for a couple weeks and then take an additional survey about my experience with it (earning another $3.00!). It may not seem like much, but I think it is pretty fun to get a surprise delivery from UPS with a free bottle of fabric softener or paper towels! The only downside to Pinecone research is that they are not always accepting new people. They open up enrollment a few times a year, so next time you see something about it, jump onboard!

2. Opinion outpost http://OpinionOutpost.com/join/7643822 is a great company to do surveys through. They send me several surveys a week, and the majority are ones I qualify for. Opinion Outpost uses a “point” system where each point is equivalent to .10 cents. Usually surveys are worth 20-35 points each. Once you have at least 50 points you can request a check, or you can cash them in and instantly receive Amazon.com giftcodes. I have cashed in my points several times recently to get Amazon giftcodes and I used them on some of Amazon’s “lightening deals”. Free Christmas presents! You can’t beat that! Anyone can sign up for Opinion Outpost at any time, so try it out!

3. AOL Opinion Place www.opinionplace.com is another reputable company to work with. They don’t email me as many survey opportunities as the other companies, but they are different in the fact that you can log in once a week to check for surveys you may qualify for. You can choose to be paid in Amazon.com gift cards, PayPal® credits, AAdvantage® miles, or entries into their sweepstakes. A downside to Opinion Place is that it takes 2-3 weeks for them to email you the Amazon giftcard codes once you complete a survey.

Some other sites I take surveys on are:

Global Test Market www.globaltestmarket.com
They use a “point” system where each point is equivalent to .05 cents. One thing I’m not a fan of is they only let you request a check once you reach $1,000 points ($50.00). It can take awhile to get there, but once you get that $50 check it makes it all worth it!

Toluna- http://us.toluna.com/
Also I take surveys on Toluna. They also use a point system and let you cash out for a $20 check once you reach 60,000 points Online surveys are usually 3,000 to 15,000 points or more (depending on survey length)

Finally some suggestions I have to make sure you have a positive survey experience:

-Use your junk email to sign up. You will probably be getting lots of survey invites everyday and it is easier to not have them clogging up your regular email.

-You will not qualify for every survey you try. Don’t get discouraged though. If you did not qualify for this one, you probably will for the next!

-Try and keep track of how much money you are earning. Opinion Outpost and Pinecone give you access to your survey history which is very convenient.

-Sign up for as many companies as you would like, or as many as you have time for! The more surveys you take, the more money you will get! If you were to do just a couple surveys a day, it will quickly add up!

So on all this...

So on all this how much do you think I spent? $50? $25? Try .70 cents!!! (It was actually all $68 regular price!)

*Note to get ALL this you will need access to mulitple computers since computers only allow you to print 2 (or four in some cases) of the salad dressing, mayo, Degree and crystal light, coupons.

To get free salad dressing: Go here http://www.smartsource.com/ and print out the Kraft Salad dressing coupon. Then print out one "Kraft Mayo, Miracle Whip, or Salad Dressing - $1/1" from here http://www.organicgrocerydeals.com/forums/view.php?pg=coupon_generator. Go to Target and use both coupons! (Note: I picked up the smaller bottles of salad dressing that were $1.79 each. That means I actually made .21 cents on each bottle!)

I don't belive the mayo coupons are still available..sorry! (They were available at Kraftfoods.com as well!)

The candy bars are the same as always: Print "Hershey Bliss candy - $1/1" from here http://www.organicgrocerydeals.com/forums/view.php?pg=coupon_generator. And buy the .99 cent candy bars by the checkout..and free candy!

For the free Crystal light: Go to http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/kraftcoupons.aspx and print out the $1/1 Crystal Light, the $2/2 Crystal Light and the "Free Crystal light skin essentials with purchase of two crystal light products". Then go to Target, pick up two Crystal light on-the-go 3 packs packages (up by checkout, for .99 cents each) and one Skin essentials box (with the rest of the crystal light priced at $3.99 each). You will still have a $1/1 coupon left over so feel free to pick up another on-the-go package if you want!

The degree deodorant I got with a $1/1 coupon from the paper a couple of Sundays ago and I combined it with a $1.50/1 Target coupon available at http://www.redplum.com/ . It was free..and I made .15 cents on each one!

Since I made money on the salad dressings and the deodorant, the other 2 pack of mens deodorant I picked up on clearance for $3.25 (then used a $1.00 off coupon making it $2.25) it ended up only being .70 cents!

Remember: if you "make" money off some things, you will need to add something to your things that are not free (such as gum, food, anything!) because Target will never "pay you!"
